]]> There is no denying that the magic of Disney extends much further than our favorite childhood movies and enchanting theme parks. It has played a big part in our childhood, taught us many important life lessons for which we will be forever grateful and, of course, made us believe that fairytales and happy endings exist. We should admit that most girls dream of being a charming princess who after all their struggles and hardships would meet their prince and live together happily ever after whereas most boys fantasize of becoming a brave and strong prince who would save the princess from all the dangers in the world and happily rule his kingdom with her by his side. Even though to most of us it was only a dream, one artist decided to transform herself into her favorite Disney characters to make this magic happen again.

The Enchanted Rose (Beauty And The Beast)

Laís Cordeiro Rosa, also known as Lally or lallymakeup on Instagram, is a make-up artist from Brazil who recently became one of the new Instagram sensations. Apart from her incredibly detailed eye-catching make-up designs, she creates colorful make-up designs inspired by Disney characters which bring us back to our childhood. When asked how she came up with the idea of Disney-inspired make-up designs, she said “I love Disney and drawings in general! I use the colors of the characters and their characteristics. For example, the villains I always try to make the make-up darker.” Well, we should note that more than 10.8K followers on her Instagram account approve of these make-up designs!

Belle And Beast (Beauty And The Beast)

Genie (Aladdin)

Hades (Hercules)

Jasmine (Aladdin)

Lally who is now 26 years old has been a make-up artist for more than 9 years. She says that she started her make-up artist career when she was just 17 years old. “I started to do thematic makeup, because I was in a forum called deviantart, but I couldn’t draw. And I really wanted to do fan art! Then I started to get inspired by other makeup artists and created my makeup” – says the artist. After a lot of hard work and patience, she can now proudly call herself a professional make-up artist.

Belle (Beauty And The Beast)

The Magic Carpet (Aladdin)

“I like to think that there is no right and wrong in art, and there is no right and wrong in makeup. Many people find thematic make-up strange, say they wouldn’t use it … but it’s not about using, it’s about expressing something I like. ‘The only place success comes before work is in the dictionary’ – I don’t know the author but my dad always told me that, and it’s true. You may have talent, but if you don’t practice to develop it and be better, you won’t reach your potential” – says Lally about her philosophy as an artist.

Jack Skellington (The Nightmare Before Christmas)

Yzma (The Emperor’s New Groove)

The artist says that she also works as a photographer in a photo studio and that is the reason why she couldn’t do many make-up designs this year. However, she promises to get back with a new make-up project inspired by the anime “Knight of the Zodiac”. And we can’t wait for that!

Lumiere (Beauty And The Beast)

Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

Ursula (The Little Mermaid)

Jasmine (Aladdin)

Moana (Moana)

Simba (The Lion King)

Anastasia (Anastasia)

Cruella De Vil (The Hundred And One Dalmatians)

Gaston (Beauty And The Beast)

Megara (Hercules)

Scar (The Lion King)

Charlotte La Bouff (The Princess And The Frog)

Maui (Moana)

Dr. Facilier (The Princess And The Frog)

Jafar (Aladdin)

Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty)

Prince John (Robin Hood)

Tiana (The Princess And The Frog)

Hercules (Hercules)

Anna’s Dress (Frozen)

Mother Gothel (Tangled)

Evil Queen (Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs)

Lucifer (Cinderella)

]]> Every woman is beautiful, no matter what she herself thinks of it. A Russian makeover project called Perezagruzka (restart) and a local version of an international show, 10 Years Younger decided to prove it by turning ordinary women into real-life queens.

Though the projects are basically alike — they aim at making women feel more beautiful and confident — they’re not all exactly the same. One of them shows younger women in need of a style change and a new start in life. The project’s team changes their hairstyle, gives some makeup and skincare advice, rethinks their clothing choices, and solves other minor problems like demanding help from a dentist, for example.

The other project, 10 Years Younger, often requires more serious work to fight the aging process and the changes it brings.

Both projects aren’t makeover shows like we’re used to seeing. The creators think our inner problems affect our looks, so they invited some psychologists to work with the people on the show. Each of them tells her own story, and sometimes it’s a really difficult one. They speak out, cry, try to look at their life from a different angle, and eventually realize something really important about themselves.

Of course, not all the transformations are simple. Some of them take lots of time like, for example, if a woman undergoes plastic surgery. There’s no magic in it, though the changes seem that way. All of them are a result of the work of an entire team of stylists, fashion experts, dentists, cosmetologists, makeup artists, and more.

These women rock, but they receive serious help and even become educated on how to take care of themselves in the future to preserve the result.

Still, the main goal of these projects is to show women how gorgeous they are, let them look at themselves from another point of view, and give them the confidence they lack.

Yet even if the experts do their best to help, sometimes they face difficulties. Not all women are happy with their new style. Some of them try to argue with the stylists pushing them out of their comfort zone. Still, most of them end up accepting their new looks and agreeing that their new style is gorgeous.

Do you like to watch makeover shows? Which of the above transformations is your favorite? We’d like to know your thoughts on this topic!

]]> Celebrities often surprise us with their red-carpet looks – their outfits range from gorgeous to hilarious. One mother, inspired by these outfits, decided to recreate them with her 4-year-old daughter and some of the results look even better than the originals.

In an interview with Bored Panda, Alya Chaglar, the artist behind the project, said the idea for the series came after seeing a photo of Rihanna in a Molly Goddard gown. She recreated the look on her daughter, Stefani, with the materials she had on hand and the photo quickly went viral. Since then, she and her daughter started posting more recreated looks and tagging them with the #ahStefani hashtag.

Alya says they only use paper, plastic, tin foil and other materials you can find at home. Each outfit roughly takes around 10 to 30 minutes to create. Stefani says she loves recreating the looks and hopes to become a fashion designer when she grows up.

But our society still seems to have a collective issue with the natural aging process of the female human being, so reaching for the dye as soon as the first silvery sprouts appear is de rigueur for the vast majority of women under the age of 60.
