Refuses to solve the problem because one person may die so instead they risk the lives of millions

They can’t figure out how to give their female characters depth without falling back on some kind of rape/sexual assault.

All the men are diverse in age and attractiveness, and the two to three total women are twenty-something bombshells.

“If I kill him I’m no better than him”

Motgerfucker you just smoked 19 of his henchmen and put 5 more in a wheelchair for life, end his a*s.

And of course the bad guy gets let go, but decides at the last second to try to kill the good guy, justifying a bullet between the eyes, usually by either the good guys sidekick, or the bad guys henchmen that he just got done betraying.

I can’t stand seeing specialists being cast as masters of multiple highly specialized skill sets or areas of study. I understand that it’s a popular action movie trope, but you also see this in the medical and academic fields.

Faked reactions by judges on America’s Got Talent.

You have the magician who is clearly intentionally fumbling around and messing up the trick. Even a 3 year old can see it is an act, but the judges are sitting there faking disgust that they can’t believe this talentless hack made it to the live show.

Or you have a stage magician with some very basic illusions yet the judges act like this guy has actual magic powers and cant even conceive of how it might be a staged illusion.

They are supposed to be experts in performing arts, have some class and act like it.

“Will they won’t they”. I liked watching New Girl, but when they completely restarted the main characters’ relationship I was like, “Oh, so it’s going to be like that.”

Dear producers,

Please let your characters grow.

Something that can be fixed right away with just a conversation

“Wait! I can explain this very obvious and easy to explain scenario”

“Nope. You’re dead to me. Now stare speechless as I’m meander my way out of your life slowly.”

She was a busy business lady that only had time for business. He was some jackass womanizer with chlamydia. Will these two incompatible people go through a series of unlikely events, fall in love, have some minor misunderstanding, then get together in the last few minutes? Find out this fall

The main character bakes muffins part-time 3 days a week but lives in a 2500 sq ft loft penthouse in the chic part of town.

Being mildly impacted by lethal injuries. Likewise, when in subfreezing temperatures, not succumbing to hypothermia when soaking wet. Not always enough to shut it off, but it always stands out and strains the illusion.

The main character is about to get killed. The antagonist is sitting there pointing a gun at them about to shoot them, but they first have to give a 30 second speech. This gives the love interest/forgotten side kick/child with developing fighting skills to come kill the enemy instead. Follow it up with a quote from them saying “you think I’d miss this party?”.

Cop with family problems. Yeah, we get it. The job’s soo important that they’ve sacrificed family time and regret it. And now they want to be the parent they failed to be in the past, but… this new case is so important.

Fathers that are stupid/literally cannot parent for comedic value. The “useless dad” trope.

“Some Like It Hot

Not just the best B&W, one of my favorite movies of all time.”

“Seven Samurai, original 1954 version“

“Casablanca“

“Night of the living dead”

“Double Indemnity”

“Schindler’s List. Best movie I’ll only ever watch once.”

“To Kill A Mockingbird

I’m ashamed that I didn’t think of this one for my comment. This is my favorite book, and one of the few movie adaptations that I think actually did the book justice.”

“Young Frankenstein”

“Arsenic and Old Lace

One of my favs. Cary Grant is so over the top (apparently even he thought so) but I love it. Cracks me up.”

“Psycho

I had the pleasure of going into this movie without knowing anything else but the shower scene and my god, what a thrill ride. Go into this movie as movie with as little information as you can, and you’ll be in for a real treat.”

“Dr. Strangelove. When he’s struggling to hold his hand down I fucking die every time”

“The Day The Earth Stood Still”

Jacob

“Tetsuo:: The Iron Man (1989).

It’s uh… It’s a black and white movie in the literal sense, but not in the “it’s an older film that was shot in black and white and therefore it’s tame by today’s standards” sense. It is, without exaggeration, one of the most deranged and out-there movies I’ve ever seen.“

“The Lighthouse! I remember when it came out and I thought ‘Boy that seems dumb and I don’t really like Robert Pattinson’ but after hearing that it gets crazy I had to watch. Now it’s one of my favorite movies, I don’t want to give too much away, but I am fond of the lobster”

“Sunset Boulevard

All my life I’ve heard about this film and the other day I saw that it was available to stream so I watched and was enthralled. Such a great movie.”

The Thin Man.

“Metropolis. I saw this on the big screen once and it was fucking amazing.”

“Twelve Angry Men (1957). I can’t recommend this enough. People always think it sucks when I say the entire movie happens basically in one room (sure, there’s the bathroom, too, and the beginning and end have the courtroom and outside), but it’s still one of my favorite movies.

Testament to how you can have riveting action with just dialogue, not throwing around explosions and fight scenes“

“The Elephant Man is genuinely heartbreaking.”

“Raging Bull is more modern than most of the films on this list, and the lack of colour is a stylistic choice. It’s brutal, unflinching and deeply upsetting.”

Captain America/Superman

“Superman and Captain America are linked by shared values, shared roles within their respective teams, and a shared sense of working as the moral compass of their respective superhero universes.”

Iron Man/Batman

“Bruce Wayne and Tony Stark are both billionaire geniuses who use their vast resources to develop superheroic personas which serve as secret identities (for a long time in the comics, “Iron Man” was publicly cast as Tony Stark’s bodyguard, and not Stark himself).”

Thanos/Darkseid

“Though their approaches and personalities are often very different, Thanos and Darkseid are connected by a shared desire for ultimate control over all living things, which makes them both especially driven and especially dangerous.” Plus they look, like, exactly the same.

Hulk/Black Adam

“Like the Hulk, Black Adam is driven by rage, and Adam himself must fight to control his own inner rage in managing his powers and behavior, much like Bruce Banner.”

Quicksilver/The Flash

“Barry Allen and Pietro Maximoff are the two characters in their respective cinematic universes who run really fast.” Good enough for me!

Thunderbolt Ross/Amanda Waller

“Both are taskmasters who attempt to bring super-powered beings to heel in an unpredictable world, and both seem willing to cross lines to do just that, even if Waller is a bit more amoral than Ross would seem to be.”

Namor/Aquaman

“Namor and Arthur are both the products of two worlds, humans whose biology was altered (mutated, in Namor’s case) by the presence of another force.” Plus, you know, water.

Punisher/Peacemaker

“Punisher and Peacemaker have evolved over the years, but at their core there’s the sense that they must become killing machines in order to make the world a better place, no matter what the personal cost is to themselves.”

Thor/Wonder Woman

“Thor and Wonder Woman are both mythological beings from other worlds who are transplanted into human society and must not only learn to live among people, but learn to appreciate what humankind has to offer the wider cosmos.”

Winter Soldier/Deadshot

“Both Deadshot and the Winter Soldier emerge in their respective universes as impossibly skilled assassins, adept at taking down their targets no matter what and walking in the circles of both heroes and villains as the situation suits them.”

Scarlet Witch/Enchantress

“Apart from their magic, they both share a deep sense of struggle over determining who they really are, as both Wanda and June must try to assert themselves even while living in tandem with the magical personas inhabiting their bodies.”

Captain Marvel/Green Lantern

“Carol Danvers and Hal Jordan are both pilots whose adventures bring them into contact with phenomenal cosmic powers which help to make them guardians of both their home planet and a wider swath of the galaxy.”

Black Widow/Huntress

“They’re both accomplished killers, they’re both morally grey in terms of how far they’re willing to go, and they’re both surprised by how much fulfillment they get out of being part of a team.”

Doctor Strange/Doctor Fate

“Strange and Fate are both powerful sorcerers who are the sole wielders of certain key magical artifacts within their comic book universes.”

Vision/Cyborg

“Vision is a synthezoid who has to learn what it means to be human, while Cyborg is a human who has to learn what it means to be part machine.”

Ant-Man/Atom Smasher

“Atom Smasher and the various heroes who wear the Ant-Man mantle can shift their molecular structure to change size, though in Atom Smasher’s case, it’s all about getting bigger, something the Ant-Men only do sometimes.”

Deadpool/Deathstroke

“Deathstroke and Deadpool also share similar backgrounds, having proven themselves as fighters and eventually becoming mercenaries who underwent experimental procedures to become superhuman…There’s a reason the character’s name—Wade Wilson and Slade Wilson—rhyme.”

In a recent interview with Bored Panda, Angela said that the project started after she did the montage with John Carroll Lynch and Twisty the clown, and noticed that her followers liked it. “I am a huge John Carroll Lynch fan and he portrays Twisty the clown of American Horror Story,” explained the artist. “So many people did not know that that was him. So, I decided to make a bunch of art pieces of horror Icons and the actors who portray them. A behind the mask and makeup, if you will.”

Lord Of Darkness, Pennywise And Frank N. Furter By Tim Curry From “Legend,” “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” And “It”

Samara And Daveigh Chase From “The Ring”

Angela says that the goal of the project is to generate some followers for her business page. “I try to make things that I like and what interests me because I know so many people love horror out there as much as I do,” says the artist.

Freddy Krueger And Robert Englund From “A Nightmare On Elm Street”

Beetlejuice And Michael Keaton From “Beetlejuice”

The artist says she was born in Salem, Massachusetts, so horror is in her blood. “I have been in love with horror and monsters since I was 4 years old, at which time I accidentally watched A Nightmare on Elm Street with my brother Ken,” said Angela. “My husband Alan and I run Fxattics Studios. I run the artistic side and he runs the business and marketing. I got the better end of the deal, if I do say so myself.”

Valak And Bonnie Aarons From “The Nun”

Pennywise And Bill Skarsgård From “It”

Angela says that what she loves most about horror is that it creates feeling much like being in love. “The feeling of being scared and not knowing what’s coming next is so stimulating. Obviously, on the fictional level,” explained the artist. “I fell in love with my husband while watching horror movies. He had not seen many when we met. Still brings us together now.  We scare each other all the time. Even the kids will hide for minutes on end for the perfect scare.”

Predator And Big Foot By, Kevin Peter Hall From “The Predator” And “Harry And The Hendersons”

Chucky And Brad Dourif From “Child’s Play”

Twisty The Clown And John Carroll Lynch From “American Horror Story”

According to the Tumblr user, the community has been “really supportive.”

“I’ve seen a lot of people saying that they’d spend money to help fund it or buy tickets to it. There’s been a lot of people adding their own thoughts, mostly Jessica Chastain and Bryce Howard Dallas. About the same amount of people have also pointed out that I mixed a lot of the actors up in the original post, which was by mistake.”

“I don’t have any plans for pitching this in the future unless the chances of it becoming a thing became real. I originally planned it to be a one-off joke post but then it ended up becoming a lot more popular than I planned,” Dontbugmeimantisocial said. “Most people have told me that it’s just a live-action Team Fortress 2 movie, which I didn’t plan. I’ve never actually played the game nor did I know anything about it other than the few memes on the internet about it.”

They also shared their thoughts about why some Hollywood movies seem very similar nowadays. “I think that Hollywood has a formula that they keep recycling over and over again. It’s not necessarily a bad thing, as it can be done really well, but after seeing a hundred of the same fight scenes, love scenes, plot lines, and genres, it can get a bit old.”

The movie industry is being challenged by streaming services

Someone certainly thought that the Tumblr user’s idea was brilliant enough to warrant sharing on Imgur; there, it got more than 4,300 upvotes in just a day’s time.

Some internet users pitched their own ideas of actor duos who could also be in the film, while others expressed their enthusiasm to see the project make it to the silver screen. Of course, there were some naysayers who thought that some of the actors looked nothing alike, apart from superficial things like having a similar hairstyle.

Kyle Buchanan writes in The New York Times that the movie industry (or rather the younger generation’s perception of it) is changing rapidly. For the article, he interviewed 24 Hollywood figures, including actor Kumail Nanjiani, and got their perspectives on things.

“I was at a bar with a friend who directs big movies, and while we were in line for the bathroom, he was saying that movie theaters were going to go away. He was like, ‘Kids don’t watch movies, they watch YouTube,’” Nanjiani told The New York Times.

Movies don’t hold the same weight that they used to before. That has almost everything to do with the rise of streaming services like Netflix, as well as the existence of the powerhouse that is YouTube. And this means that some brand-name blockbusters aren’t busting blocks anymore. Meanwhile, it’s harder and harder for small studios to survive, as they’re ‘gobbled up’ by bigger ones.

“This is the biggest shift in the content business in the history of Hollywood,” producer Jason Blum told Buchanan.

Dear Pandas, which actor duo in Tumblr user Dontbugmeimantisocial’s post do you think looks the most alike? (We’d probably have to say Daniel Radcliffe and Elijah Wood.) What did you think of Dontbugmeimantisocial’s movie idea? Would it be the kind of film that you’d like to see? What’s your opinion about the current state of Hollywood? Let everyone know what you think in the comments!

Here’s what some internet users thought of the idea

Fans of the classic film are saying Disney ruined it with the Blu-ray restoration and are posting screenshots that prove their point. Check out some examples below!

People are saying Disney actually reduced the quality of Cinderella with the Blu-ray restoration

Where are her arms, where is the detail in her gown!? Even parts of sparkles are gone

Big parts of the Fairy Dust in the sky are missing

One of the biggest critics of the Cinderella Blu-ray restoration is Imgur user i124nk8.

Where is his right hand touching her arm? Where is the red of his trousers?

4. The lining on his shoulder parts is the same color but darker as the parts themselves

Here the lining on the shoulder parts is blue instead of the brownish color it should be

The die-hard Cinderella fans are saying Disney practically ruined the film by changing the colors and lighting and even scrubbing out some lines. Others, however, say that people are blowing this way out of proportion.

5. Here the sparkles are bright white and the lines in the red curtains are dark red as they should

Where are all the creases in the fabric of her grown? Where are the lines in her left hand?

6. Here she has arms, her gown sparkles and shows detail and the stairs are royally red

Left marble staircases yellow!? Blue spots around her head and yellow lines on the stairs?

The Fairy’s light blue blouse is missing

8. Bright sparkles and a detailed gown. Detail on street. Warm glow coming put of the palace

Everything cold greenish. Blue shadows on stair cases, green shadow on carriage top piece?

9. Pumpkin lines on the carriage and copper brasses on the horses’ harnesses

Blue and Green horses!? With no detail and Pink tales!? No driver’s jacket slip

Where is the warm glowing light coming out of the palace?

Some people were even comparing the Blu-ray release to Cecilia Giménez’s 2012 restoration of the Ecce Homo painting.

This is not the first time Disney messed up classic movie restorations

“Look at the loss of detail in the grass on the BD. Look at the fuzziness of every single line. Look at the loss of detail and shades on the trees,” writes user Freddy2.

“The wanted poster looked like old paper with sharp printing on it. Now it looks flat and out of focus. Not to mention the DNR effect on the wood structure and the loss of contrast in the closet.”

Disney fans on Twitter pointed out even more examples

To create the paintings, the AI uses something called generative adversarial network (GAN) models. GAN makes two neural networks – a generator (looks at various examples and tries to mimic them) and a discriminator (judges if they are real by comparing them with the same training examples) – contest with each other in order to produce an acceptable outcome. The AI analyzed works from various famous painters like Rembrandt and Van Gogh.

Adam Driver

Ed Sheeran

Similar AI technologies have existed before but none were quite like this one. Instead of merely applying a filter on your face, it actually generates brand new features and selects what style to use for the painting based on the subject in the photo.

Kit Harington

Dwayne Johnson

“With AI Portraits Ars anyone is able to use GAN models to generate a new painting, where facial lines are completely redesigned. The model decides for itself which style to use for the portrait. Details of the face and background contribute to direct the model towards a style,” say the creators of the technology. “In style transfer, there is usually a strong alteration of colors, but the features of the photo remain unchanged. AI Portraits Ars creates new forms, beyond altering the style of an existing photo.”

Jared Leto

Elon Musk

“Portrait masters rarely paint smiling people because smiles and laughter were commonly associated with a more comic aspect of genre painting, and because the display of such an overt expression as smiling can seem to distort the face of the sitter,” explained the creators why no paintings show people smiling. “This inability of artificial intelligence to reproduce our smiles is teaching us something about the history of art.”
